| | | Getting China Ready
| | | Saint John, New Brunswick - "CANLink Global is traveling to China next week to open a new office in Beijing and to present and explore new investment and export opportunities" said Mike Tilley, President, CANLink Global Inc. "There is tremendous opportunity with China as their markets are now wide open. Our province and the rest of Atlantic Canada deliver quality goods and services that are attractive to a global market. One of CANLink Global's aims is to assist our local companies to become China ready", said Mr. Tilley.
Lead by a Saint John based team of veteran business entrepreneurs, CANLink Global Inc. is a consulting company that assists organizations and individuals to evaluate and pursue international opportunities.
"The potential to sell, invest or locate new production facilities within other countries is significant. Yet, doing business internationally can be very daunting. CANLink Global accelerates the learning curve for doing international business and can increase the prospects of success, while saving time and money", said Mr. Tilley. "In January 2004, we opened our head office in Saint John, NB and our expansion plan is moving ahead with a Beijing office opening later this month", said Mr. Tilley.
The CANLink Global team is lead by entrepreneur Mike Tilley. As President, he will be leading the business development effort, be general manager of operations, and oversee company recruitment and retention. Ms. Xiaoxing Han, Director of Communication Services, will be heading up all translation services and graphic design. Acting as the main Account Manager she will customize a range of support services tailored to specific client needs. Mr. James English, with his years of experience in multiple business ventures, will be providing valuable consulting services in strategic planning and financial services.
The CANLink Team will travel to China on Monday, February 9th. During their 3-week mission they will be traveling to 4 cities; Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian, and Shenyang. As a guest of Dr. Frances Pang, Chairman of the Beijing Concord College, they will be attending the grand openings of a new school and a branch of the Canada China Business Council in Shenyang. Meetings have also been set with multiple business people and government bodies including the Canadian Embassy in Beijing to discuss initiatives such as the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program and Saint John's Growth Strategy in order to increase economic development partnerships with China.
"International business development is one of the top priorities outlined in our community's Growth Strategy", said Steve Carson, CEO and Growth Strategy Manager, Enterprise Saint John.
"In the spirit of what Saint John has been built on, pioneering ideas, the CANLink Global team has developed an innovative business. By working with others they will not only bring success to their own company but expand the economic opportunities to the whole region", said Mr. Carson.
"We believe in what Saint John and Atlantic Canada have to offer on the world stage. Our Saint John Waterfront Development Project, our world class manufacturing, and our state of the art IT industry all have investment and export potential. We are going to introduce all this and more to the China Market in February" said Mr. Tilley. |
