| | | "Information & Communication Technologies ... New Brunswick and the World" Saint John - More than 100 of the province’s leading knowledge industry CEOs, business owners and business development professionals will gather in Saint John on Thursday, February 24, to hear about the latest global market trends and opportunities. This event is being hosted by propelsj in partnership with sponsors Business New Brunswick, Enterprise Saint John, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), IDC Canada, Comprehendex Corporation and CANLink Global, Inc. "The response to this, the third such event in the past few years, has been impressive," says propelsj President Curtis Howe. "As we had hoped, ICT professionals see these events as providing valuable information that will impact on the future of their companies." And, says Howe, such events are the kind of initiatives propelsj and partners want to make happen. "By working and sharing together, we can tap the full potential of ICT in regions across the province," he says. Howe believes what the information and industry leaders will hear could make a significant difference in how CEOs, owners and managers shape the direction of their companies. Just as critical, he adds, is the knowledge they will gain that will help them identify and develop skills that match existing and emerging ICT business opportunities. The agenda will include presentations from IDC Canada Inc., Comprehendex Corporation, and CANLink Global, Inc. Howe says the forum with offer a powerful networking and discussion opportunity. Presenters, he said, will be encouraged to allow for questions and answers following each segment of the program. "These are challenging but exciting times for the industry and we can learn from each other as well," he says. In the end, says Howe, there is one overall goal - to ensure industry players move forward in the right direction so that the New Brunswick economy continues to reap the benefits of participating more actively in ICT global markets.
